Andrew Hamilton & Co look after the financial and taxation affairs of individuals, businesses, trusts and charities; these are based mainly in Scotland.   Increasingly, however, we act for clients based in London, rural England and continental Europe. This is not only because of our strong English connections but because clients appreciate that with the use of modern communications, distance is not a barrier.

Regardless of how well we know our clients, the law dictates that we need to carry out official identity checks before we act (passport and utility bill); in addition, our Institute requires us to issue letters of engagement to cover the scope of the work you require us to undertake.

Is there an average Andrew Hamilton & Co client? Absolutely not! Here is a very brief list of some of the occupations of our clients and their trading status.

You will note that we do not divulge the names of our clients. This is because at Andrew Hamilton & Co, client confidentiality is absolutely sacrosanct. Of course there is always the exception that proves the rule and with his permission, we show you below a man who is now in partnership with his wife in the provision of Care Home Services but who started out life as a National Hunt Jockey! I wonder if you can guess the name of the jockey and the horse that took him to victory in the 1984 Grand National?
